The Spirits' Book was released on April 18, 1857, and this fact marks the Spiritist Doctrine's beginning.

Written by Allan Kardec (1804-1869), this book, as well as other ones from the Spiritist Codification, represents the work of many Superior Spirits, together with men, to bring spiritual understanding about universal laws to humanity
