Rights and Duties

Age: 7 to 15

Setting up the famous agreement right in the first days can avoid problems and assure a good relationship during the year.

What we will need

  • blackboard and chalk
  • 2 cardboards
  • pens

What we gonna do

  1. Begin talking with the children about which are their expectations for the beginning year and what is the better way to reach these purposes working in a group.
  2. Think with everybody and write down on the blackboard the sequence of these phrases: "We have the right to..." and "We are responsible for...".
  3. Remember that these agreements about the rights and duties must be inspired on general rules of the Spiritist Center - which the children need to know - and be focused on what must be done not on what is forbidden.
  4. Next step is discovering what the other classes had combined. The information exchange promotes integration between the classes and improve their agreements.
  5. By the end, ask everyone to write down the agreement and fix it on the diary. So it will be always by hand.
  6. In addition to that, the children can make two big posters to fix on the class wall.
