A first day activity
Age: 7 to 11
What we will need
- pencils or pens.
- paper sheets for groups.
What we gonna do
For the children know you better, arrange an interview.
- Separate them in groups and ask them to think about questions, as they were reporters. Tell them that the questions could be about your age, if you have children, how long have you been teacher, where do you live, for example.
- When the questions are ready, sit some place in the room that allows every child to see you, so you can answer their questions.
- Tell them to bring, next class, a small text about everything they remember, so they will pay attention.
- (Next class.) Ask who wants to read aloud what she or he wrote.
